Putting my major to some use, I love these interactive maps that the New York Times came out with. You can enter your city and choose to see the racial distribution, education to income for the years 2005-2009. It's put together brilliantly and efficiently (which I appreciate). Definitely try it out and check out your town, your hometown, and your boss's town.
Below is the map of Santa Monica with the racial distribution of mostly white people. You see that red dot in the middle? Yeah that's Pad Fierce, accounting for me, the roommate and Kurt. Bringing the diversity to the west side one dot at a time.
